ABOUT

Alexandra Valenti is a self-taught artist, living and working in Austin, Texas. As a photographer for 15 years, she’s mined her own photography archive as jumping off points for each piece. Absurdist Landscapes, Imperfect Symmetry, Disproportionate Bodies, Surrealist Reality, thick impasto marks next to detailed lines; women in power positions, sometimes solitary, sometimes connected to her mirror opposite in moments of iconic grandeur and sometimes in quiet repose. These are the ingredients of Valenti’s work.

She has work in private collections in Austin, Los Angeles, New York, Portland, Nashville, Miami, and New Orleans.
